Sarah (Rita) M. Jackson, 103, died peacefully on August 4 at the Weymouth Health Care Center. She was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 12, 1909. Sarah spent her early years in Cambridge, MA before taking up residence in New York. She was the wife of the late George Jackson where they resided in New York for many years. Rita was the sister of the late Eunice Brown, Hilda Sport, Jeannette Turner and Pauline Haynes. She is survived by her nephew, Lawrence A. Turner and his wife Juanita of Weymouth and several great nieces and nephews, Paul Turner, Eric Turner, Pamela Turner and Patricia Harkins. As a very successful business woman, she owned her own catering business in the 40’s and 50’s and was a woman of many talents. A private funeral service will be held on August 25 at the C. C.
