Lois Gray Harris, 82, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents, Carlon Heath Gray and Susie Mae Gray and her brother, Charles Franklin Gray.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Kyle Harris officiating. A private service will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harris was born on January 10, 1930 in Chicago, IL. She relocated to Clarksville with her family as a child. Lois was a dedicated homemaker as well as a retired bookkeeper for Orgain Building Supply. She was a member of First Christian Church and a past president and long standing member of the Laureate Eta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Billy G. Harris of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Libby Harris of Clarksville, TN; son, Tom Harris (Susan) of Clarksville, TN; granddaughter, Sarah Daniel; grandson, Graeme Daniel (Kelly); and great grandsons, Myles and Rhys Daniel.
