Ronnie L. Thompson
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, August 10, 2012, Mr. Ronnie Lamar Thompson, 56, beloved husband of 34 years to Mrs. Betsy Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was a native of Eastman, GA. He attended Georgia Southern and Southwestern Seminary. Mr. Thompson loved people, was a talented pastor, youth minister, chef, and coach.
Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Jacob, Kevin, Dana; brother: Johnie N. Thompson; mother in law: Mickie Blackburn; and many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 4:30 P.M. in the Storey Chapel at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jake Malone, Dr. Stan Pylant, and Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Development Fund and the Youth Scholarship Fund at First Baptist Church, 3500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30909.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the church.
