Alice G. O’Connor of Reading, formerly of Lynn, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at her home. She was 93 years of age.
Born in Swampscott, Alice was the beloved daughter of the late of the late Joseph F. O’Connor and Alice M. (Murray) O’Connor. Alice was a warm and caring daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sorely missed.
Alice was a dedicated Vice President for Provident Institution for Savings, the oldest Chartered Savings Bank in the United States. She was a graduate of Simmons College in the class of 1939. She lived in Reading for over 40 years.
Alice was the devoted sister of the late James F. O’Connor, William H. O’Connor, Joseph F. O’Connor and Mary E. O’Connor. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Saturday at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Alice’s Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
