Richard M. Gibney age 84 of Canton passed away August 14th at the Hellenic Nursing Home. Born in Hingham, he was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School, Brown University and was a Navy Veteran of WW II. He worked as a Salesman for many years for International Paper and later had his own industrial sales company the Gibney Company. He was a member of the American Legion Post #24 in Canton, the Blue Hill Masons Lodge in Canton, the Braeburn Country Club in Newton, Hyannisport Country Club and the Oyster Harbor Country Club. Beloved husband of Priscilla A. McPhee(Gavigan). He is survived by Priscilla’s loving children Richard F. McPhee & his wife Judy of Holden & Luann Reidy & her husband John of E. Walpole. Grandfather of Daniel, Emily & Allison McPhee & Christopher, Caroline & Phillip Reidy. Brother of John F. Gibney & his wife Carol of Wayland & the late Thelma Loring. Relative and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday morning at 11:30 . Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 pm.
