Obituary

Frank A. Julio, age 91, of Brockton, died August 12, 2012 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater following a period of failing health. Frank was the husband of the late Lucille (Perry) Julio. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Frank and Virginia (Mennino) Julio and was a graduate of Brockton High School. During World War II he served in Europe with the Army Air Force and was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross, two Bronze stars, three Oak Leaf Clusters and one Oak Leaf Cluster. For over 40 years Frank worked locally in construction and was a member of the Laborers Union, Local 721, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed bowling, photography, gardening and travel. For many years he had been a member of the Vega Club Bowling League. A caring man, Frank enjoyed time spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his children Ginger Hayes and her husband Bill of West Bridgewater, Frank Julio and his wife Barbara of Healdsburg, CA, Marty Julio of Green Bay, WI, David Julio of Plymouth, Jack Julio and his husband Jim Hite of Canton and Mary-Ellen Julio of Brockton; 11 grandchildren, Kerry-Ann Goyette, Dawn Hayes, Marty, David Sean, Justin, Kyle, Moriah and Jessica Julio, BJ Roderick, II and Adam Roderick; 6 great grandchildren Stephen and Delaney Goyette, Isabelle and Brady Waldron and Cameron and Hailey Roderick; a brother Michael Julio and his wife Winnie of Carver and a sister Theresa Kelley and her husband Dick of Brockton. He was the grandfather of the late Sean Hayes and brother of the late Anthony, Mary, John and Joseph Julio.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 4-7pm. The Funeral Procession will form at the funeral home Thursday at 9am for a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
