NEW BEDFORD - Kristofer R. Vercellone, 27, of Acushnet died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at St. Luke’s Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in New Bedford, son of Ruth D. Ashley of Acushnet and Peter M. Vercellone and his wife Jacqueline of Dartmouth, he had been a resident of Dartmouth most of his life prior to moving to Acushnet.
He was employed by Simmons concrete of New Bedford as a laborer. He was a graduate of Dartmouth High School class of 1994. He attended Brandeis University and the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth.
Kristofer was an exceptional athlete in baseball, football, track and golf. He was a team member of the 1990 Greater New Bedford Pony League Eastern Zone World Series Champs. He played in the Working Man's Softball League of New Bedford.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother: Susan H. (Wilbur) Ashley of Acushnet; 2 brothers: Marc P. Vercellone and his wife Anne of Westport and David A. Vercellone and his wife Beth of Rochester; a sister: Susan W. Medeiros and her husband Louis of New Bedford; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at the KIRBY FUNERAL HOME, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford.
Interment service will be held at a later date.
