Obituary

Mr. Albert V. Risdon, a lifelong resident of Medford, died at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on Friday, August 10, 2012, after a long illness. He was 87 years old. Born in Malden, Massachusetts, on October 22, 1924, he was a beloved son of the late Silas F. and Marion (Hoyt) Risdon. He was employed for many years as a data processor for many years. He served in the US Army during WWII, seeing action in both Italy and Northern Africa. While in the military, Mr. Risdon worked as a Gun Crewman and was a carbine marksman. He received his honorable discharge from Fort Devens on November 5, 1945.
In his spare time, Mr. Risdon loved to read, especially about philosophy and poetry. He was also an avid Red Sox fan.
He will be sorely missed by his sister; Marion R. Roberts of Concord and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was also the devoted brother of the late Robert Risdon and Valerie Risdon Burt, both decerased.
