Obituary

WEBSTER – Jennie P. Rzeszutko was called to her heavenly reward early Sunday morning, August 12, 2012 after proclaiming her love one last time to a host of family members vigilant at her side. Our sorrow is great but tempered somewhat by her announcement: “I have a date to go dancing with my husband.” Charles Rzeszutko, her soul mate and partner for 59 years, preceded her to Christ’s domain in May, 2006.
Although failing health affected her vision and mobility, Jennie gave unconditionally of her love, time, advice and compassion. She will be missed by her family which consists of 4 children, Richard C. Rizutko and his wife Jocelyn of Webster, Marcia F. Jarosz of Warwick, RI, Christine M. Brodeur and her husband James of Upton and James J. Rzeszutko and his wife Linda (Jennie’s principal caregiver and confidante) of Webster. She also leaves 5 grandchildren, Steven, Jesse, Lisa, Tara and Allison; 4 great grandchildren, Kaleb, Paige, Grace and Redd; a sister, Sr. Mary Amandine with the Felician Order in Adams; a brother, Joseph Zdrok and his wife Carol of Vero Beach, FL; nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Edward Zdrok and by her sister Theresa Miller.
Jennie was born in Worcester, a daughter of Zigmont W. and Frances (Piasta) Zdrok and was a lifelong Webster resident. She attended the girls’ vocational school in Webster. She was a spinner at Anglo Fabrics Company for over 35 years before she retired in 1989.
As a lifelong member of Saint Joseph Basilica, she volunteered at the parish festival for many years and was well known for her cooking and baking skills which produced many treasured recipes. Jennie was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality, the Sacred Heart Society, the Saint Anne Society, the Saint Joseph Polish Women’s Club and the PAV Auxiliary. Her hobbies included dancing, sewing and bowling.
All are invited to join the family to say goodbye to this special lady during calling hours on Wednesday, August 15, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street. The funeral will be held Thursday, August 16, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Donations in her name may be made to St. Joseph Basilica Gymnasium Fund, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570.
