James Lester Hilliard, 86, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, August 12, 2012, at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Crossview Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Parmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Hilliard was born June 14, 1926 in Dodge County to the late Richard Hilliard and Verna Mixon Spires. He was a former resident of Albany and Cordele. He was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.
He is survived by a sister: Barbara M. Brewer of Fitzgerald; several nieces and nephews including: Lloyd & Tina Brewer, Horace & Carolyn Spires, Sean & Brandy Brewer, Jennifer & Joey Whisnant, and Lacey & Brian Barnes; several great nieces and nephews; and a devoted friend: Delane Brewer.
