MARGUERITE A. "SNOOKY" JOHNS, of Hull, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12th, 2012 at the age of 96. She was born in Hull and was a lifelong resident of the town. Snooky was well known in Hull and worked for the Hull Municipal Lighting Plant from 1945 until her retirement as office manager in 1997. She continued to work part time at the light plant long after her retirement. Over the years she has been an active member of St. Nicholas United Methodist Church of Hull where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and helped with fund raisers and yard sales.
She leaves her nephews David Cleverly and his wife Susan of Florida and Richard Cleverly of Weymouth. Also survived by many close friends and neighbors.
A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 15th at 11 AM at the Hull Village Cemetery. Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Nicholas United Methodist Church, 128 Spring St., Hull, MA 02045.
