In Taunton, August 10, 2012 formerly of Pearl Street Agnes G. (Hathaway) Tokarz daughter of the late Frederick and Albina (Chapney) Hathaway. Born in Taunton, Agnes was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1946. She was a retired mail clerk for Keithley Metra Byte in Taunton and before that worked for Whittenton Garment for over forty years. Agnes enjoyed bowling, reading, playing cards, puzzles and was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. Agnes was the mother of Denise Cooper of Haleiwa, Hawaii, Vickie Allen and her husband Mike of Watauga, Texas, Shelley Palazzi and her husband Raymond of Taunton, Joanne Lyons and her husband John of Assonet, Stanley “Buster” Tokarz Jr. and his wife Carol of Raynham and Mary Crowley and her husband Norman of Taunton. Grandmother of William Rivers Jr of Fairhaven, Jayme Cooper of Hawaii, Chris Allen of Texas, Tim Allen of Texas, Rachael Palazzi of Nevada, Nick Palazzi of Taunton, Zachary Lyons of Assonet, Jacob Tokarz of Raynham, Evan Crowley of Taunton and great grandmother of seven. Sister of Wilfred Hathaway and his wife Muriel of West Bridgewater and the late Mildred Conway, Louise Ulak, Harold Hathaway, Alan Hathaway, Dorothy Ouellette and Emma Ouellette. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Thursday, August 16th at 9 AM. A Mass will be held at St Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton at 10 AM. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
