George R. Folds, Jr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest August 11, 2012, Mr. George Robert Folds, Jr., 84, husband of Mrs. Virginia Chambers Folds.
Mr. Folds was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He was the son of the former Augusta Police Captain George R. Folds and Evelyn Hall Folds. He retired from Civil Service at Fort Gordon after 33 years as a Dental Ceramist. He was the co-founder of the Kiokee Rifle Club and was Southeast Regional Advisor to Clan Donald, USA.
Family members in addition to his wife include stepson: Thomas Blaylock of Dalton; sister: Mary Jane Vause (James); numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Jerry Ragan celebrant. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers and food, contributions may be made to the Golden Harvest Food Bank or Catholic Social Services.
The family will receive friends following the burial.
