In Taunton, August 11, 2012, formerly of West Weir St John E. Reilly son of the late Joseph and Annie (Keough) Reilly died at Marion Manor Nursing Home at the age of 83. Born in Taunton, John was a graduate of Monsignor James Coyle High School class of 1947 and was in the US Army during the Korean Era. He was a retired storekeeper for the city of Taunton school dept for over twenty six years. John received the Marion Medal from the former Sacred Heart Church in Taunton in 1975. He was a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, Chapter of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Carmelite Monastery in Barrington, RI, Knights of Columbus and Monsignor James Coyle Council 82. John was the brother of Joseph R. Reilly of Fall River and the late Peter and Richard Reilly. Uncle of Marie, Joseph, Mark, Michael, Paul, Peter Reilly. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Tuesday, August 14th at 9 AM. A Mass will be held at the Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton at 10 AM. Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
