Eugene J. “Skip” Goguen, Sr. 68, of Privilege St, Woonsocket died Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Diane (Doten) Goguen. They were married for 44 years.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Arthur and May (Paine) Goguen. Skip was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life. He lived in Walpole, MA for several years in his youth.
Mr. Goguen was employed by Valley Cab Company for over 20 years before retiring in 2006.
Skip was well-known and loved by many in the community for his outgoing personality and willingness to help anyone in need. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and being a wonderful family man.
Skip cherished time spent with his family; especially with his favorite people in the world, his three granddaughters, Nichole, Kasey and Hailey Goguen.
In addition to his wife and grandchildren, Skip is survived by three children Jacqueline Sidibe and James Goguen, both of Woonsocket, a son Eugene Goguen Jr. of Johnston.
Skip was predeceased by his longtime best friend and faithful Canine companion Max.
All services are private. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
