Mary Gnall, age 91, formerly of Montdale, PA passed away on August 9, 2012 at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center in Rising Sun, MD. Born in Peckville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Estock Popovich and wife, for 58 years, of the late Michael Gnall. A resident of Montdale for 85 years, she graduated from Scott High School in 1937 and then attend the Powell School of Business. She was a homemaker for many years before going to work at Jerry’s Sports Center in Montdale.
Mrs. Gnall is survived by her daughters, Kathy Telep and husband, Terry, of Newark, DE and Anne Marie Gnall of Scranton, PA; sisters, Ann Gnall of Taylor, PA, Pauline Wiorkowski of Justus, PA, Margaret York and husband, Joseph and Helen Cordelli and husband, Peter, all of Peckville, PA, Dr. Irene Hassett of AZ, and Theresa Rolka and husband, John, of Scott Township, PA; grandchildren, David Telep and wife, Paige, of Wake Forest, NC, Matthew Telep and wife, Jennifer, of Rising Sun, MD, Rachael Perez and husband, Gus and Christopher Dematt and wife, Melinda, all of Corpus Christi, TX and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Anthony Popovich, Michael Popovich, Raymond Kryzanowski, William Popovich, Pauline Choberka and Josephine Cavalieri; and stepmother, Anna Popovich.
Visitation will be held at Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home, 129 Grant St., Olyphant, PA on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. Services will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Kutch at St. John Vianney Parish, Scott Township, PA on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10:00am. Interment will be at St. George’s Orthodox Greek Catholic Cemetery, Taylor, PA.
