Doris M. (LeClerc) Tremblay, age 81 of Peabody, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012, at her home with her family by her side. She was the wife of Albert L. Tremblay, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Leo O. and Cecile M. (Fournier) LeClerc. As a young woman Doris worked for the former CBS Hytron of Salem and later for the former Bomac of Beverly. Married in 1960, Doris then devoted her time to creating a home for her husband Al and son Paul.
Doris loved music and, at one time sang with the St. Thomas Church Choir. She also enjoyed musical evenings with family members performing concerts of ‘Pops’ favorites and show tunes. Doris was a long time member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Peabody.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Paul A., and close family friend, Declan M. Cook both of Marblehead, and her aunt, Alice Paquette of Wenham. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond LeClerc.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 8:45 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, on the Salem / Peabody line [Rt. 114] at 10:00 A.M.
