TRESELER Margaret Mary “Dee” (Hines) life long resident of West Roxbury died at home on August 9, 2012 in the presence of her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Charles Treseler Jr. (ret. Boston Police). Devoted mother of Frederick C. Treseler III and his wife Marita, of Chestnut Hill, Jean T. Irvine and her husband William, of NH., Sgt. Edward G. Treseler (MSP) and his wife Eileen of West Roxbury, John F. Treseler and his wife Peggy of MD., Richard J. Treseler of West Roxbury, Paul M. Treseler and his wife Jennifer of West Roxbury, James R. Treseler and his wife Laura of London, England, Mary E. Treseler and her husband William Brennan of South Dartmouth, and the late Robert Treseler.
Loving Grammie, Nana, grandmother, of Heather, Frederick, Michelle, Colin, Matt, Teddy, Anne Marie, John, Erin, Christine, Maura, Catherine, Molly, Zachary, and Charlie.
Margaret is survived by her sister Miriam Hines of West Roxbury and her brother George Hines and his wife Marilyn of West Roxbury. Margaret was predeceased by her brother Andrew Hines and sister Betty Connolly.
Margaret was a graduate of Mission High School.
After her husband became ill, Margaret returned to the business world at Boston College, first as a secretary in the women’s athletic department, and then to the dean’s office in the law school. During this period, she earned her B.A. from Boston College. She was an inspiration to both her children and grandchildren. After retirement she became a quilter and a painter. She was a member of the West Roxbury Friends of the Library, the West Roxbury Art Association, and a proud member of Saint John Chrysostom Parish, West Roxbury.
