Mary L. (Pope) Noonan, 87, of Manchester died, peacefully at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, with her family by her side, August 7, 2012. She was born in Lynn MA, January 11, 1925, to William and Mary (Kenny) Pope.
She was a member of the graduating class of 1943 from Manchester Central High School, and a member of the former O.L.P.H. parish. She was a member of St. Pius X parish.
In addition to being a very active and supportive mother, Mary enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband, John throughout the continental United States and Hawaii, as well as skiing trips to Switzerland.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family especially vacation time at New Hampshire beaches. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Family members include her husband of 66 years, John Noonan, of Manchester; her children, Thomas Noonan, and his wife Shannon, of Manchester, Virginia and her husband Thomas Clayton of Manchester, Rosemary and her husband Denis Disimone, of VT; her grandchildren, Sean, Ryan and his wife, Heather, Patrick and his wife, Tanya, Michael and his wife, Sarah, Devon, Heather, Jay, Timothy and his wife Kate, Lindsey; her great grandchildren, Mara, Nikka, Lena, Caira, Nola, Jack, Molly, Adam; she was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Ann Noonan, and her sister Barbara Ann Pope.
A funeral liturgy took place on Friday, August 10, 2012 the Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
