TEWKSBURY – Evelyn P. (Wennert) Rose, age 90, died peacefully Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Woodbriar in Wilmington surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late, Francis Rose who pre deceased her in 1980.
She was born October 31, 1921, a daughter of the late Louis Richard and Evelyn (Murray) Wennert. She grew up in East Boston and Revere. She had lived in Tewksbury since 1970. She was devoted to her family and friends. She had a special fondness for all animals.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Rose of Tewksbury, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Nicole Rose of Salem, NH, Stephen and Carol Rose of Billerica, four grandchildren; Juliet (Rose) and Kenneth Larson of Manchester, MA, Lisa (Rose) and Joseph Shapiro of Wakefield, Megan Rose and Michael Rose both of Billerica, four great grandchildren; Sophia Larson, William Larson, Chava Shapiro, and Tallia Shapiro.
She was also sister of the late Eleanor (Wennert) Flynn.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, August 10 in St. William Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed at Lowell Cemetery. Memorial donations to MSPCA, C/O Nevins Farms, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844, are appreciated.
