Helen C. (Manning) Kelly, 81, of Franklin died August 7. She was the wife of the late Patrick Kelly who died in 1982.
Born in Boston, September 4, 1930, the daughter of the late Richard and Helen (Greene) Manning, Mrs. Kelly was raised in South Boston and had lived in Franklin since 1963.
She was the sister of the late Dorothy “Dolly” Arcand and Richard “Dick” Manning. Mrs. Kelly was a graduate of Medfield State Hospital School of Nursing where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She had been an LPN at Medfield State Hospital for over 20 years.
Helen loved to travel, go to Foxwoods, play bingo, and knitting. She loved most spending time with her children and attending family gatherings.
She is survived by her children, Gloria Minton and her husband Elmer of Mansfield, Steven Frechette and his wife Beatrice of Douglas, Donna Frechette and her companion Larry Doucette of Northbridge, Michael Frechette and his wife Christina of Mesa Arizona, Patricia Hatfield and her husband Craig of Goldvein, Virginia, John Kelly and his wife Donna of Medway and Kathleen Kelly of South Boston.
She is survived by many grandchildren and great grand-children. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, her beloved Aunt Betty and many friends.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, August 11 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Medway, at 10:00.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday, August 10 from 4-8 p.m.
