Obituary

HOLYOKE – Therese J. (Pelletier) Frappier, 89, of Holyoke and a former longtime resident of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Monday, August 6, 2012. She passed into Eternal Life from the Loomis House in Holyoke surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Levis, Province of Quebec, Canada on October 21, 1922, a beloved daughter of the late Honorius and Olevine (Guay) Pelletier. She was raised and schooled in Canada and moved to the Brightwood section of Springfield in 1950. She later moved to Saab Court in Springfield and had been a resident of the city for most of her life. Active in her faith, Therese was a longtime communicant of the former Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Springfield, where she was a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne Sodality. She was a current communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. She was a longtime member of the Brightwood Golden Age Club in Springfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 38 years, Gerard N. Frappier, who was Called Home on February 2, 1989; and her loving son, Gerald A. Frappier, who was Called Home on March 31, 2011. She leaves her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Mary A. Syriac and her husband, Ken, of Southampton; her cherished sister, Yvonne Begin of Levis, P.Q., Canada; and her many dear nephews and nieces. Besides her parents, husband and son, she was also predeceased by four brothers and a sister, Fernand, Maurice, Raymond and Jean Paul Pelletier and Gemma Letourneau. A Service of Committal will be held on Friday afternoon, August 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Saint Michael the Archangel Cemetery Mausoleum, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory be made to the Loomis House for the Memory Enhancement Neighborhood, 298 Jarvis Avenue, Holyoke, MA 01040.
