Richard M. Weddington, 89, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit downtown. A native of Owensboro, he retired from Corning Inc. after 55years. He was an Army veteran of WWII and Catholic by faith. He is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lee and sons, Roger, Kenny and Phillip Weddington; He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Woosley (John); brother, Marion Weddington; 4 grandchildren, Belinda McDaniel, Kevin Alvey, Michael and Nicholas Weddington; 6 great-grandchildren and daughter-in–law, Susie Weddington. His funeral mass will be Thursday 10:30am at St.Paul Catholic Church 6901 Dixie Hwy. burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 3pm to 8pm at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
