Ronald E. Vander, 62, of Acushnet died August 5, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New bedford, the son of the late William C. and Margaret (Worthington) Vander, he lived in Acushnet most of his life.
He was formerly employed by Vander Electric.
Mr. Vander enjoyed the beach and riding his motorcycle. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School, class of 1968 and Wentworth Institute, class of 1971.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Fryer of Fairhaven; his former wife, Elaine (Ferreira) Willey of New Bedford; a brother, William C. Vander, Jr. of California; and a granddaughter, Emma Fryer.
His Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 11th at 10 AM in the Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday, August 10th from 6-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Family Service Association Guardianship Program 101 Rock St. Fall River, MA 02720.
