Woodrow Gray, age 75, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Tranquility Hospice in Cobb County following an extended illness. Mr. Gray was born on January 22, 1937, in Thomaston, GA to the late J.D. Gray and Lillian Strickland Gray.
Mr. Gray is survived by: his wife, Bertie Gray, of Douglas, GA; two sons, Rodney Gray, of Douglas, GA and Steve Gray, of Douglasville, GA; one daughter, Sharon Gray, of Douglas, GA; one brother, Junior Gray, of Tifton, GA; five sisters, Loretta Burkett, of Douglas, GA, Frances Giddens, of Enigma, GA, Brenda Parkerson, of Enigma, GA, Patricia Wirebaugh, of Enigma, GA, and Susan Barnes, of Brookfield, GA; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister Ophelia Hopkins and a brother Herbert Gray.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 4, 2012, 6 to 9 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Chapel of Sims Funeral Home. Rev. Levi Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Satilla Memorial Gardens.
