Inez Bentley Powers, R.N., 79, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Gray Nursing Home in Gray, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M. Sunday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Powers was born August 15, 1932, in Amity, Georgia to the late Sidney Edward and Zelma R. Mathews Bentley. She was a 1949 Graduate of Jones County High School. She was a retired Charge Nurse at Dorminy Medical Center. Mrs. Powers received her Registered Nurse training at Macon Hospital and had worked at Phoebe Putney Hospital and Sumter Regional Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fitzgerald.
Survivors include her daughter Karen Denise Powers of Macon and her brother Bobby Bentley of Gray, Georgia. Along with her parents and 2 brothers, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Michael Powers and her son Michael Loren Powers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Childrens’ Hospital of Central Georgia and to the National Alzheimer’s Foundation.
