George D. Holden, Jr., 56, of Salem, NH died Saturday, August 4th at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA.
Born in Quincy, MA, George graduated from Salem High School and Trinity College. He retired from the U.S. Navy and later became a Microsoft Engineer. George was a member of Spicket Lodge #85 of Salem and a Bektash Shriner.
George leaves behind his wife of 35 years Dr. Janet Holden, their son George D. Holden, III and daughter-in-law Clair and two granddaughters Lana and Camryn of Virginia Beach, VA. He is the son of Muriel Holden of Salem and G. David Holden and step-mother Mary Holden of Hyannis, MA. George is survived by his siblings Doris and her husband John Maliszewski of Maryland, William Holden of So. Dennis, MA and Barbara and her husband Frank Robidoux of Andover, MA, step siblings Arab, Vicky,
Taby, Laurie and Charlie as well as his beloved nieces.
Funeral services are private for the immediate family and Masonic Brothers. The family requests no flowers, but donations may be made to the Dana Farber Research Center, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
