Lorene Catherine O'Bryan King, 83, Born February 13, 1929.
Lorene was welcomed into heaven on Thursday, August 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Louis, Sr. and Elizabeth O'Bryan of Brandenburg Ky, her sister, Mary Ann Humbert of Jeffersonville, IN, and her infant son, Scott Gerard.
She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (St. Polycarp).
She was a loving wife, survived by her husband of 62 years, Maurice King. She was also a devoted mother and cherished by her children, Paul King (Mary), J. Daniel King, Deborah Lancaster, Sharon Ballard (Bruce), Jeff King, Loretta Brown (Jeff) and Rich King (Angel). She was adored by her 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Recounting precious memories of their lives together are her surviving siblings, Betty McCoy, Margaret Frymire, Kathleen Powell, Joan McCann, Louis O'Bryan, Jr., Jane O'Bryan, Daniel O'Bryan and Julia Encino.
Lorene was a kind and gentle soul who expressed unconditional love to all she met. Her daily presence in our lives will be greatly missed. All who had the privilege of knowing her have been blessed beyond measure and we will never be the same.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, KY.
Visitation will be from 1 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
