Worcester- James J. Turner, 72, formerly of Worcester, died Thursday, May 13, in Sunbridge for Sandalwood Nursing Center, Oxford.
He leaves a brother, Paul D. Turner of Ellington, FL; four sisters, Joan A. Hesselton, Beverly Turner, Emma Riel, and Patricia Willar, all of Worcester; nephews and nieces. A sister, Jean Bisson, died in 2000. He was born in Worcester, son of Percy A. and Alice M. (Lamoureux) Turner.
Mr. Turner was a dishwasher for many years. He volunteered for the Homeless Veterans shelter, the Green Island Neighborhood Center, and for many area churches.
