Norman E. West , 84, passed away July 31,2012 at Jewish Hospital.
He was a retired U. S Postal Employee and also retired from Churchill Downs as pari-mutuel clerk for over 50 years, National pick 7 winner in 1992 and numerous pick sixes and a Korean War veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Wanda Slack West.
Survived by his son Norman West II, nephew Gary West (Terri) and great nephews Nathan and Spencer West, also long time companion Jan Sullivan.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday 1 P.M. until 5 P.M.
