MARY ELIZABETH "LILLIAN" (WALDRON) MCCUE, age 87, of Hingham, died peacefully on Friday, May 7th at her home after a brief illness. Lillian was born in Boston on March 17th, 1917 and lived there for many years until moving to Boston's South Shore, eventually settling in Hingham. She graduated with honors from Boston's Cathedral High School in 1935. Lillian worked for Sears & Roebuck in customer service and sales consulting for 20 years until her retirement in 1991.Lillian was the wife of the late Leonard A. McCue, Jr. and is survived by 3 sons; Leonard A. McCue, III of St. Petersburg, FL, John H. McCue of New York City and Joseph B. McCue of Hingham. She was the sister of Dorothy Boyson of Melrose and the late Robert Waldron. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild.A Memorial Service celebrating Lillian's life will be conducted on Sunday, May 23rd at1:30 PM at the New North Church, One Lincoln St., Hingham, MA 02043.Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Friday, May 21st from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the New North Church.The interment in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree is to be private.
