NORTHAMPTON – Ann E. (Bourbeau) Rock Theroux, 70, of the Village of Florence in Northampton was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. She passed into Eternal Life at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on January 24, 1942, a beloved daughter of the late Albert and Simonne (Joubert) Bourbeau. She was raised in the Forest Park section of the city, graduated from Saint Anne Academy in Marlborough and lived in Springfield for many years. She later moved to Chicopee where she lived for many years before moving to the Florence section of Northampton in 2005. She was last employed for 15 years and retired as a Fire Dispatcher at the Westover Air Force Base Fire Department in Chicopee. She previously worked for many years at the Brunswick Airway Lanes at the Springfield Plaza on Liberty Street. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. During her leisure time, Ann loved to shop and was often seen purchasing presents for her grandchildren. During her younger years, she was always ready for a good game of cards with her family and her many friends. She was a loving woman who adored her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was predeceased by her beloved husbands and love of her life, Milton R. Rock, Jr. and Robert Theroux. She leaves: her loving children, Elizabeth Rock-Ackerman and her husband, Michael, of Florence, MA, Catherine Ouimette of Florence, MA, Milton R. Rock III and his wife, Janice, of Shelburne Falls, MA, Christopher Rock and his wife, Tammy of Enfield, CT, and Joseph Rock and his fiancée, Jade Bennett of Edgartown, MA; her 19 cherished grandchildren who she adored, Becky, Michael, James, Jonathan, Dustin, Brandon, Joseph, Daemon and Kyle Ackerman; Peter, Nicholas and Simonne Ouimette; Milton IV and Tyler Rock; Jacob, Daniel and Natalie Rock; and Madison and Grace Bennett-Rock; her dear siblings, Annette Rogers and her husband, Ronald, of Branford, CT, James Bourbeau and his wife, Gloria, of Hamden, CT, Michele Bourbeau of Chicopee, Daniel Bourbeau of Southwick, and Michelle Davis of Chicopee. She also leaves her many dear nephews, nieces and a longtime close friend, Faith Friss of Mattapoisett, MA. Besides her parents and husbands, she was also predeceased by her dear sister-in-law, Debra Bourbeau; and her dear brother-in-law, William Davis. Her family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service which will be held on Wednesday morning, August 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107. Her burial will follow the service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Road, Springfield, MA 01129. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, August 8, 2012 from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, 2nd Floor, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
