Obituary

COLORADO SPRINGS: Aiden William Lakeman-Ahnfeldt, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012 in the Memorial Central Hospital in the arms of his loving family. He was the beloved infant son of Kristina L. Lakeman and Paul J. Ahnfeldt.
He was born in the Memorial Central Hospital on March 14, 2012 at 12:53 a.m. and weighed eight pounds and two ounces. His birthday will be a day that his parents will hold close in their hearts forever and never ever forget.
Aiden’s parents were thrilled to take him out and show him his new world. They enjoyed taking him for walks, spending time at local dog parks and their family lunches out together. He traveled to Boston, Florida and spent time in Denver as well. While in Boston they took him to the Aquarium and to meet and visit with the family and friends who had not yet met him. Aiden was a happy and sociable baby who was comfortable being held by anyone who wanted to hold him. He loved to giggle and the sound of his voice brought much joy to his family. Aiden was becoming more aware of what was going on in his new little world everyday and especially liked his Golden Retriever “ Toby”. His time with us was certainly to short and we are so sad to see him leave us but we will hold onto the memories that we have forever in our hearts.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Sandra Lakeman and her companion, Jimmy Robertson both of Gloucester; his paternal grandmother, Nancy Nolan of Ipswich; his maternal great-grandparents, Paul Ekborg and his companion, Barbara Francis of Florida; his paternal great-grandparents, Edmund and Jacqueline Lakeman of West Ossippee, NH; his aunts, Kelsey Lakeman of Gloucester and Amanda Ahnfeldt of Ipswich; his uncle, Christopher Ahnfeldt of Ipswich. Also all the extended family and friends from Colorado, Florida and Gloucester whose lives Aiden touched. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Lawrence Lakeman and his maternal great-grandmother, Candace Ekborg.
A celebration of Aiden’s life will be held on Friday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester at 12 noon. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 – 12 pm. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Aiden Lakeman-Ahnfeldt Scholarship Fund, c/o of Cape Ann Savings Bank, 109 Main St., Gloucester, MA 01930.
