Catherine “Tina” Taschetta, age 93, a life long resident of Medford, passed away suddenly in her home Thursday morning. Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Maria (Zaffora) and Michael Taschetta. Tina worked for many years as a seamstress in Boston´s garment district. She enjoyed traveling to many different places and also enjoyed being with her many loving nieces and nephews. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Tina´s memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her brother James Taschetta and her nephew Joseph Taschetta. She is survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Sarah Taschetta of Medford, her loving niece Maria Taschetta-Ily of salem and her loving nephew Michael Taschetta of Abington. She is also survived by many loving grand nieces and grand nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Saturday at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford/Somerville, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
