James David Elixson, 66, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the Irwin County Hospital.
Funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Ocilla, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Ocilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday evening.
Mr. Elixson was born March 11, 1938, in Sanford, Florida to Lillie Mae Hancock Edge and the late Samuel Charles Elixson. He lived in the community for the past year from South Charleston, Ohio. Mr. Elixson was a self-employed painting contractor. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Ocilla.
Mr. Elixson is survived by his mother: Lillie Mae Edge, Irwin County; four sisters: Charlene Tatum, Irwinville, Patricia Cherry, Irwin County, Charlotte Harper, Macon and Bonnie Jones, Goodlettsville, TN; two step grandchildren: Michael and Jeffery Lowe, South Charleston, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lowe Elixson and one brother, Manuel Edge.
