Obituary

Patricia Jean Raney, age 75, entered into rest on July 25, 2012 at her home in Prosser. She was born on July 8, 1937 in Willow Hill, Illinois to Roscoe and Charlean (Snyder) Faught. She was raised and educated in Montana and graduated from Montana State College in 1959. Pat and James Raney were married in Belgrade, Montana on March 22, 1959. The couple moved to the Yakima Valley and settled in Prosser in 1962. She worked as a chemist at the Hanford Reservation for General Electric and Battelle Northwest.

Patricia enjoyed arts and crafts, travel (especially to visit family), cooking and gardening.

Through the years she was a member of the Eastern Star, Lions Club, Prosser United Methodist Women and the United Methodist Church.

Patricia is survived by her husband, James Raney of Prosser; her daughter, Dawn Dimock and husband, Tom of Endwell, New York and their children, Katy, Patrick, Daniel, Mary Grace and Emily; her daughter, Brenda Bates and husband, Todd of Aberdeen, Washington and their children, Patricia, Russell and Tyler; and her daughter Paige Ritter and husband, Greg of Hamburg, Michigan and their children, Margo and Ross. She is also survived by her brother, Stanley Faught and wife, Robi of Anaconda, Montana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Charlean Faught.

A Celebration of Life was held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Prosser. Private family inurnment was held at the Prosser Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Prosser Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
