FALL RIVER …Doris Claudette (Levesque) Kostek, 88, of Fall River, passed away June 30, 2012 at Catholic Memorial Home.
She was the wife of the late John Kostek to whom she was married for 30 years.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Adelard & Marilda (Thibault) Levesque and had been a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Kostek graduated from Jesus and Mary Academy in 1942. She was employed for 28 years as a sewing machine operator at the former Rochell Mfg. retiring in 1986. Following retirement, she had been employed as a housekeeper at the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church and rectory from 1994-2006. In 2006 Mrs. Kostek received the Marian Medal from Bishop George Coleman. She enjoyed cooking as well as baking and was always happy to share her goodies with family and friends.
Survivors include her son: Paul J. Kostek and his wife Leann of Seattle, WA., A Sister: Aline St. Laurent of Fall River (formerly of Somerset), a God Son: Paul M. Levesque, Jr. of Fall River, grand dogs Noodles and Bourbon, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her brother, Ronald Levesque and sister, Mirette Desrosiers, as well as her grand dog Lucy.
Funeral Mass to which relatives and friends are invited to will be held Saturday August 4, 2012 at 9:00am at St. Bernadette Parish, 529 Eastern Ave. Fall River, MA. Inurnment at Notre Dame Cemetery.
