Harold Thomas Griner, 84, of Tifton died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Terrell Roberts and Rev. Jackie Connell will officiate with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County. Men of Tift Avenue Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 30, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Griner was born on February 12, 1928 in Berrien County and was the son of Manning Ezekiel Griner and Fannie Stanford Griner, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters. He was a retired, self-employed roofing contractor and a member of Tift Avenue Baptist Church.
Mr. Griner is survived by his wife, Ludean Bryant Griner of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Diane Griner of Pearl, Mississippi; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Clay Green of Adel, Debbie and Jimmy Jeswald of Largo, Florida and Denise and Victor Jonsgaard of Moultrie; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
