Hatch, Dorothy (nee Mercaldo) 89 of Oradell, formerly of Rutherford died on Saturday, July 28, 2012.
Beloved wife of the late Marion. Devoted mother of David Hatch and his wife Carol, Sharon Madura and her husband Fred and Brian Hatch. Dear sister of Gloria Rapp and pre deceased by Helen Kent, Grace Mercaldo and Joyce Mercaldo. Loving grandmother of Jonathan Hatch and his fiancee, Eve Goodman, Sara Hatch and her domestic partner, Matt Crowley and Pamela Simmons and her husband Christopher. Cherished great grandmother of Katelyn and Ryan Simmons. Dorothy was the Postmistress of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Teaneck campus. She was also a member of the Oradell seniors, St. Joseph’s Rosary Society, the Red Hat Society and treasurer of St. Joseph’s Leisure club.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell.A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM on Wednesday at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 300 Elm Street, Oradell. Interment to follow at George Washington memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
