Anita H. “Ann” Iovanni, 92 of Somerville, died Thursday after a brief illness in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center West Campus, Boston, MA.
Born in Arlington, she lived in Somerville for the past 80 years and formerly of the North End of Boston. Anita was a Stitcher for 45 years at the former Bailey & Weston in Boston and retired in 1985.
Cherished daughter of the late Louise (Guarino) and Massimino Iovanni. Devoted sister of Felix Iovanni and his wife Nancy of Somerville, and the late John A. Iovanni Sr. and his late wife Vera. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Catherine of Genoa Church, 179 Summer St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
