Evans, GA – Agnes Wren Terry, 95, wife of 62 years to the late Fred L. Terry, Sr., entered into rest on Monday, July 23, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Dr. Phil Bray officiating. Burial will follow at 12:00 noon in the Reedy Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Stapleton, GA.
Agnes was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was very creative and was an accomplished seamstress. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Agnes always kept a sweet disposition and was the epitome of graciousness. One of her proudest accomplishments was reading the Bible cover to cover during the last year of her life.
Survivors include her daughter, Ellen Hill and husband Leonard of Evans, GA, her son, Dr. Fred L. Terry, Jr. and wife Dr. Kristen Moore of Ann Arbor, MI, four grandchildren, Terry Greene and husband Daren, Cliff Hill, Jr. and wife Jayla, Fred L. Terry, III, Veronica Terry, and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Agnes was preceded in death by her parents the late William Nathaniel Wren and Bell Hadden Wren, her brother, the late Leroy Wren, and sister, the late Marion Wren Terry.
Pallbearers will be Cliff Hill, Jr., Daren Greene, Bill Terry, Earl Terry, Dan Gibson, Lawton Hill, and Ray Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Julian Wren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
