Obituary

Mrs. Mary C. Laspina of Medford, formerly of Cambridge, died on Saturday in the Woburn Nursing Center. She is the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Fahey and John Laspina.
Born in Portsmouth NH, daughter of the late Marco and Mary (Comero) Giampa, she was raised in Cambridge where she attended local schools. She is a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, class of 1942. In earlier years she worked as the manager of a dry cleaning establishment. She later went on to excel as a seamstress and fancy stitcher for the Bride n’ Belle bridal salon in Medford. She was a Medford resident for over 60 years. Mrs. Laspina was a very religious woman and a communicant of St. Raphael Church. She was a very family minded woman and enjoyed family functions and spending quality time with her children, grand and great grandchildren. As busy as her day was she was credited with not only holding together one household, but two.
She leaves a son Lawrence Fahey of Westminster and a daughter Marianne Sherwood and her husband John of Medford. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Gulezian, John Sherwood, Larry and Russell Fahey, Jill McDowell, Karen Kane and 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Rose Vella of Chelmsford, Palma Paola of Portsmouth NH, Phil and Robert Giampa, both of Tewksbury, Marco Giampa of Chelmsford and the late Laura Fenn and Theresa Whalen. Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
