Bonnie McGee Kitchens, 73, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at Ocilla Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Otis McGee and Elder Tommy McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the Irwinville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00, Tuesday evening at Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla.
Mrs. Kitchens was born May 9, 1931, in Irwinville, Georgia, to the late John and Sallie Burch McGee. She lived in the community most all of her life and was a former resident of Tift County. Mrs. Kitchens helped her husband farm and was a former employee of Shiloh Personal Care Home, Hunter’s Barbeque and Weavers Milling Company. She was a member of the Ocilla Primitive Baptist Church and the Ladies Circle.
Mrs. Kitchens is survived by her brother: Elder Otis McGee, Ocilla; two step-children: John H. Allen, Holder, FL and Marie Allen, Dunnellon, FL; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including: Sandra Faircloth, Cordele and Sherry Southern, Bowling Green, KY. Mrs. Kitchens was preceded in death by her husband, Onree J.C. Kitchens, one son, Donnie Ray Kitchens, four brothers and one sister.
