Rita V. Guertin 86, of Mendon Rd., died Wednesday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of Paul Guertin with whom she married sixty six years ago. Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Lucy (Riquier) Richard. Rita worked in the housekeeping department at Verizon for thirty years before retiring twenty eight years ago. She was a member of St. Joseph Sr. Citizens. Rita was an avid bingo player and loved to gamble.
Besides her husband she leaves three sisters, Vivian Amour of NH, Florence DeCubellis of Cumberland and Lorraine Leduc of Woonsocket, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Richard, Lucille Champagne, and Ruth Senior.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd., Cumberland. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-7 PM.
