Mary Elizabeth (O’Donnell) Taylor, 88, of Natick, formerly of Wayland, passed away on July 18, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Taylor who passed away in 1976.
Born in Newton, the daughter of the late Dennis J. and Mary J. (Finn) O’Donnell, Mrs. Taylor was raised and educated in Newton. She was a very kind and compassionate person who dedicated her life to caring for her husband, son, and grandchildren. She loved family gatherings, in particular vacationing in New Hampshire and also visiting with family in New York. For many years Mrs. Taylor became an integral part of the families with whom she served as their children’s nanny. Her warmth and generosity will be her everlasting memory.
She was the devoted mother of Joseph E. Taylor of Natick; cherished Nana and best friend of Jodi Boudreau and her husband Danny of Natick and Colleen Demko and her husband Bill of Shrewsbury; loving great-grandmother of Courtney, Brandon, Phoenix, Andrew, Rebecca, and Layna; and dear sister of Anne Ireland of NH and Alice Deneault of Westford. She was also the sister of the late Dennis and Robert O’Donnell and Jean Higgins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Taylor’s funeral service on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) Natick. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 10:00 am until the beginning of the service.
