William V. “Bill” Waldridge 79 went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2012. He was an employee of E&H/CED Consolidated Electric 42 years, a member of Southeast Christian Church, an Army Veteran of the Korean War Era. He was a dedicated family man and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents; Pete Sr, and Mary Waldridge, brother Pete Jr and two sisters: Anna B. Gooch and Mary Louise Carter, and granddaughter Stephanie Brierly. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Pharis Loraine (Menefee), three daughters: Vickie Brierly, Sheila Alcorn (Michael), Jamie Soards (Rick) and brother-in- law James. He is also survived by grandchildren: Steven, Curtis, Katelyn Alcorn, as well as Jordan and Jacob Soards. To his joy, he is survived by two great-grandchildren, Jared and Brody Soards, several nieces and nephews, including William Werner (DJ) and Elizabeth Jones (Doug). A special gratitude goes to Reo and Kathy, as well as the Hospice Unit at the VA Hospital. Expressions to Hosparus of Louisville or the Hospice Unit at the VA Hospital. His funeral will be10 am Saturday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation Friday 2pm to 8pm .
