Mary P. Araujo, 99 of Fall River & formerly of Somerset, passed away July 18, 2012. She was the wife of the late John P. Araujo and the daughter of the late Joseph R. & Alexandrina (Cordeiro) Viveiros. Prior to retiring, Mary worked as a machine operator in the garment industry and was a Foster Grandparent in the Fall River School Department until the age of 90.
Mary is survived by her grandchildren: Cheryl Powers & Denise Marier both of Somerset, and Rhonda Medeiros of FL; 11 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late John Pacheco; the grandmother of the late Lori L. Oliveira & John M. Pacheco; the sister of the late Joseph & Manuel Viveiros, John Rapoza, Eva Medeiros, & Sarah Pereira.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on MONDAY at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours on SUNDAY 4-8 P.M.
