Claire M. Searson (Moscone), 76, of Canton passed away July 17 at home. Born in Boston, she was raised in West Roxbury and graduated from Holy Cross Academy. After attending Pierce junior college, she served as a secretary at American Mutual in Providence before marrying and subsequently moving to Canton in 1962 to raise her family. She served as a CCD instructor for St. John the Evangelist Church and was a longtime member of SSPSA. After her children were grown, she returned to work at U.S. Trust & Company where she eventually became the bank manager for one of their Canton branches. She was a member of the Rotary Club and retired in 2000. She enjoyed travel, good food and conversation, long walks, reading, meeting new people, the beach, Frank Sinatra and shopping. Beloved partner of William Bazzinotti. Mother of Cheryl-Ann Cohen & husband David of Fairfax, VA and Craig Searson & wife Michelle of Laguna Niguel, CA. Grandmother of Samuel & Thomas of Virginia and Matthew, Danielle & Savannah of California. Sister of Fred Moscone and Louise Tondorf & husband Frank of Westwood. Aunt of Kristine Hughes & husband Peter and Kurt Tondorf & wife Carissa. “Mother” to the Bazzinotti family and a devoted friend to many. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Bernadette’s in Randolph at 10:00 a.m. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
