YARMOUTH: Mary K. Tauer, 59, formerly of Wayland, died unexpectedly at her residence on July 13, 2012.
She was born in Seattle, Washington and was the daughter of Kenneth J. Tauer and Alice L. (Marchant) Tauer both of Wayland.
Besides her parents, Mary is survived by her daughter, Kimberly A. Tauer of Wayland. She was the sister of Gregory P. Tauer and his wife Patty of Natick; Sue Tauer of Wayland and Kathy Tauer of Framingham. She is also survived by several nieces and one nephew and many friends.
Mary spent her formative years in Wayland and was a graduate of Wayland High School with the Class of 1971. She has resided on the Cape in Dennis and Yarmouth for over 25 years. While residing on the Cape, she was a waitress for several local restaurants. Mary was an avid reader, enjoyed walking and meeting people and loved spending time at the beach. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to everyone.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 o’clock at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Tauer family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial gifts on Mary’s memory may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
