Obituary

Mrs. Joyce A. (Thompson) Rodrigue, of Raynham, died Monday, July 16 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Paul Rodrigue, Jr. She was born 65 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred (Stuart) Thompson. She was educated in Raynham, having graduated from Apponequet Regional High School, and had been a Raynham resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, Joyce had been employed as the Director of the Raynham Council on Aging for over 20 years. She was a member of the Raynham Lions Club and was also a member of the Raynham Housing Authority. She enjoyed knitting, swimming and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devotee of the Blessed Mother.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 3 daughters: Renee Figlock and her husband, Thaddeus M. of Raynham, Shery Almon and her husband, Lou of Taunton, and Melanie Rodrigue and her wife, Laura Borden of Nashua, N.H.; 1 brother: Robert Charles Thompson of Raynham; 1 sister: Dona Lucey and her husband, Francis of Raynham; 6 grandchildren: Thaddeus Paul, Jocelyn Noel, and Samuel James Figlock, Ema Michelle and Eric Rodrigue Almon, and Vera Noel Figlock, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Thursday, July 19 at 7:00 P.M. Visiting Hours will precede the Service, Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
